Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you based? How do you spend your days?

I’m currently living in Los Angeles. I’ve been here for a couple of years after moving from the smallish Texas town of Lockhart. I work from home as an Operations Manager for a tech startup in the eCommerce space.

You can typically find me loving on my corgi, going on picnics, hiking, and watching movies and comedy.

How did you hear about Noihsaf Bazaar / when did you become a part of the community?

I started following Noihsaf on IG right before the “ban”, when IG started blocking Noihsaf’s posts. I sold nearly everything that got posted, so I was quite happy when I heard that the site was getting developed and Noihsaf was moving away from IG.

What is your favorite Noihsaf score?

It’s a purchase I made this month, actually. It’s a pair of vintage handmade cotton shorts with an illustrated band/symphony print all over. They’re baggy, high-waisted, and will be perfect for an LA summer. They’re insanely comfortable.

How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any style inspirations thatyou return to?

I would say I dress fairly practical and shoot from the hip. I like to let my style develop naturally.

I’ve become way more accepting over time at letting go of those pieces that represent who I used to be or who I never was. Working from home has me in a major zone of comfort, so I often dress like my version of an old Cuban man - oversized button down short-sleeve shirt, easy pants, ARQ bra, and Crocs. I sit in this kinda funky meditation chair so I need to be able to move around.

I always come back to hints of western influence. I love boots, denim, and gingham. I love vintage from the seventies. I love hats. I always wear sunglasses. I’m also a major yellow gold jewelry lover - I have several pieces listed in my Noihsaf shop. I worked in fine jewelry before getting into tech and still dabble in selling under the handle @shopgoldbaby.

Do you have any designers/brands that you’re especially into these days?

I’m leaning into brands that have non-toxic certifications for their fabrics and I’m big on purchasing pieces made of natural fibers that can be machine washed. I’ve been digging into KOTN, LF Markey, and Kowtow lately, which I’ll build on top of with vintage. I love Carla Colour for sunnies. I think I’ll always love Paloma Wool.

What trend are you currently loving, or what trend would you like to see?

I’m loving long skirts that are somewhere in between midi and maxi, especially when paired with sneaks. It reminds me of growing up in the nineties. I’m about to travel to Tokyo and think that may be my uniform for the trip. I just got an off-white pair of Reebok Club C’s after searching for the perfect pair of white sneaks for so long, and I think they’d make a perfect pairing.
