Chrome magazine rack

Husband was gifted this from his posh French granny who has owned it since the 70s at least. We are 99% sure it is Hermes but no markings. I found a couple of similar pieces online. Will post in comments the results of my research! There is tarnishing to the chrome in line w/ age
