Floaty 40s nightgown/ dress

This piece is combed cotton and VERY soft and comfortable. Dreamy cornflower print and floral trim. There was one tear in in the back of the fabric which I have carefully mended with cotton thread (pictured .) True vintage 1940s. With a slip also makes a dreamy summer's dress!
