How do measurements work?

Noihaf requires all clothing and accessories to have relevant measurements.

We recognize that sizing and fit vary drastically depending on the designer, brand, or style of clothing. Size labels are not consistent across the fashion industry, so it is key to review measurements before purchasing an item. To ensure the best experience for our buyers, we require sellers to share measurements for all clothing and accessories submitted on the site.

Our hope is that not only will those measurements provide buyers with the best fit, but that checking measurements will also become a practice for our buyers in all clothing purchases.

Taking the time to review garment measurements, and knowing which measurements suit our bodies, is a way to show conscious care with our purchases. Our measurements provide information that allow us to buy things that are comfortable, flattering, and better suit us as we move through our daily lives.

Measuring Clothing and Accessories

Tops

Pit to Pit: This is the measurement from armpit to armpit flat across the chest.

Length: The proper way to take this measurement is down the back of the shirt, starting from the center of the collar down to the bottom hem.

Sleeve: This measurement is taken from the back of the shirt, starting at the center of the neck and going down the sleeve to the cuff.

Shoulder: The measurement taken across shoulder seam to shoulder seam. This can also be taken from the collar seam to shoulder seam and repeated on the other side. Be sure to specify in measurement notes.

Bottoms

Waist: While the bottoms are zipped/buttoned, measure right across the top, from side seam to side seam. Note: this measurement is not always the same as the waist size listed on the item, so make sure to actually measure and don’t assume it's the tagged size.

Rise: Measure from the very top of the bottoms (above the button or closure) to the crotch seam (where the leg seams meet).

Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom hem of the pants.

Hip: While the bottoms are zipped/buttoned and laying flat measure the widest part across the hips. This is usually right across your bum, NOT the waistline.

Dresses

Length: Measure from the shoulder (or the back of the collar) to hem of dress. If the length varies from back and front of the dress, please include both.

Please include the pit to pit and waist measurements with your dress.

Waist / Hip: Measure straight across the natural waist or hip.

Bags

Please include the length, width, height, and drop (handle length) in the dimension box.

Jewelry

Include the following for jewelry items:

Length: Measure the necklace, bracelet, or watch laying flat and unclasped.

Ring size: The finger size the ring fits on.
