Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you based?

I’m Hannah. I’m 46 and currently live in Palm Springs CA with my husband and 12 year old dog. I’m from Denver originally and have also lived in San Diego, NYC, and Houston. We’ll probably move again soon, tbh. Not sure this is our place long term but the thrifting here is spectacular so I’m making the most of it while I can! I’ve had a couple careers in my life - I was educated in Public Health and managed an HIV prevention program in Colorado for many years. I left that career in 2018 and would now consider myself an entrepreneur.

How do you spend your days?

As I’m self-employed it varies day to day. My husband and I currently own a business called Shippy Tape (if you’ve ever ordered from me, you’ve seen it on your packages). I do some coaching and consulting for women who are starting or scaling their small businesses so I will usually have a few calls throughout the week. And for fun (and fun money) I’m a reseller so I thrift and hit the estate sales a few times a week.

How did you hear about Noihsaf Bazaar / when did you become a part of the community?

I started an IG a few years ago called Worthwhile Goods that focused on more sustainable commerce and through that community I was turned on to NB. I would say that was early 2021. Since I started selling on the site, I have been so in love with the community and the staff. As a part-time reseller for almost 20 years, it’s nice to see some disruption in this marketplace and a way for resellers and individuals to buy and sell to a true like-minded community.

What is your favorite fashion score?

I’ve been on a mission this year to wear everything I own, clear out my closet and get serious about refining my personal style so I haven’t done much personal shopping (recently). I did trade a silk blouse in my shop for a vintage woven bucket bag that is pretty amazing and in heavy rotation!

How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any style inspirations that you return to?

I’d say it’s kind of all over the place. Hence, the closet refinement project. I love color and prints and a statement sleeve but I also feel really great in something minimal and monochromatic. I love an androgynous workwear style too. My husband worked for a small men’s fashion brand in NYC for many years and I always took a lot of inspiration from a great menswear look that would translate well onto ANY body. Lately, I dress for comfort and so it’s been lots of vintage levi’s and men’s button down shirts.

Do you have any designers/brands that you’re especially into these days?

I love Black Crane, Ganni, Staud, Lauren Manoogian, Mara Hoffman, and Toteme. Vintage Levi’s, Agolde, Jesse Kamm and Rudy Jude for pants/denim. I’ve never owned a Babaa sweater but it’s on my wishlist. Along with a pair of woven Freda Salvador ballet flats and Alohas boots for winter.

What trend are you currently loving, or what trend would you like to see?

I’m not great at wearing skirts in the fall/winter because I don’t like to wear tights or have cold legs so I’m loving tall boots with midi skirts that I can hide warm cozy socks under. I also love oversized everything so I’m glad to see that baggy is IN!

Favorite song to play when getting dressed?

I mostly listen to podcasts (personal development or business) when getting ready but this is inspiring me to make a playlist. I think the first 2 songs will be Dance the Night by Dua Lipa and True Affection by Father John Misty. Both put me in such a good mood!
