Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you based? How do you spend your days?

Hi everyone! I'm new here, so it's really nice to get to do this interview. I'm an herbalist and all around plant person living in Napa, California. I recently stepped back after 11 years of running my brand Wooden Spoon Herbs, and now you can find me in my garden, at the farmer's market, in a thrift shop, eating a pastry, or swimming in the ocean. I love getting stuck into researching niche medicinal plants, building up my natural dye material collection, watching Gardener's World, cooking yummy food, etc. My husband and I are currently beginning to renovate our 1930's ranch house, and are learning lots in the process! I'm trying to turn it into an English cottage, with varying degrees of success.

How did you hear about Noihsaf Bazaar / when did you become a part of the community?

I heard about it way back when it was just an Instagram account! But I joined officially only last week. Newbie! Very happy to be here <3

What is your favorite Noihsaf score?

Sheepishly, I don't have one yet! But I am very very keen on this Vintage Eddie Bauer bag, this Eileen Fisher sweater, and this gorgeous Babaa. I also found vintage (i.e. 3 year old) Wooden Spoon merch, so that really tickled me! I may buy it back...

Do you have any tips or advice for folks interested in selling on Noihsaf?

I would say to trust your eye! And start with what you have. For me, I started by cleaning out my closet. I had amassed years and years of clothing and identities that no longer really suited me. But just selling clothes in my size has been limiting, though on the flip side it brings me great joy to bring sizes 16/18 to the secondhand market... Those sizes can so often get left out of the conversation. That said, it's been fun to see that people are excited to buy ceramics and hats, which are both size neutral and apparently incredible hot ticket items.

How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any style inspirations that you return to?

I'd love to think Appalachian babushka. One day my mom texted me, "I went to the Dôen store and all the girls there knew you." Busted! I mean, I love Doen and Christy Dawn - very feminine cottagecore pastoral looks that are just easy to wear. I wear dresses 99% of the time because they are just easy to throw on in a quick second, and with some accessories. you're done. Easy, earthy, feminine. Lots of gingham and floral prints. Inspiration-wise, I love keeping up with Polish and Ukranian designers, there's always lots of filet crochet and lace that harkens back to past generations of that culture, which are two of my ancestral cultures. I love looking at photos of woman dressed in layers of colorful textiles of all sorts from the past two centuries in Eastern Europe. And I love vintage Laura Ashley.

Do you have any designers/brands that you're especially into these days?

I love Skall Studio's Fall/Winter 26, Gillian Stevens, Gardenheir's long shirt dresses and French leather clogs, Straw London, what Chloe's been doing, and this knitwear designer Imogen Denton who sells knitting patterns via DM. And always Doen, Babaa, Christy Dawn, Rudy Jude. Also Proyecto Rufina out of Mexico City. Projekt Tyyny. Oh and I live for socks from Antipast, a Japanese brand! They always have the best colors and botanical motifs. I got married in May and had shoes made by Pastorum Carmina, so that was VERY special and my dress was a custom design by La Réunion.

What trend are you currently loving, or what trend would you like to see?

Gosh, the trend cycles move so quickly! What do I like... Well, I'm loving the scarf as belt / waist tie. I have to say I was an early adopter and it's a really nice look. I feel like I see more knitted vests over dresses, I love that. Baskets as handbags. White cotton dresses layered with chunky knits.

Favorite song to play when getting dressed?

Vashti Bunyan anything.
