Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you based? How do you spend your days?
My name is Amita! I am 30 years old, a first-generation Vietnamese Khmer-American and currently living along the Downeast/Midcoast area of Maine for the past two years. Before that, I lived abroad in Mexico for a few years and traveled many places. I wear many hats in life—jewelry artist, vintage jewelry curator, former restaurant owner, photographer, and specialty coffee barista—but most importantly, I am a human.
It is written in my destiny to live an unconventional life! This year, I completed my Saturn return and decided to enroll in a massage therapy program to become a licensed massage therapist. This has beautifully consumed my time and attention. It gives me structure and inspiration to cope with the harsh winters here in Maine. Most of my days are spent quietly and peacefully.

I moved into an old antique farmhouse tucked beneath a small mountain with my sweet housemate Stevie, her three barn cats (Rio, Pequeño, and Reishi), and her fluffy Border Collie named Chickadee. I’m pretty lucky to have found such a winter oasis :)
Other than being at home, I spend my time at the coffee shop, studying at the library, taking walks, going to school, chatting with friends on the phone, cooking comforting meals, making fires, taking long car rides, discovering new music, sourcing, and posting new vintage jewelry inventory. Like I said before—a very QUIET and peaceful life up here in Maine, lol. I love it, yet I very much look forward to traveling again or moving somewhere with more diversity, culture, and a rhythm that matches my energy!
How did you hear about Noihsaf Bazaar / when did you become a part of the community?
I became a part of the Noihsaf community in 2017 around the time y’all were only on Instagram. From what I remember, I found y’all through an old friend who shared a link to their clothes for sale on Noihsaf’s Instagram. I loved the curation of all the pieces being listed—ya girl had to give it a follow!

What is your favorite Noihsaf score?
WOW! My BEST score was a handmade alpaca balaclava-it has LITERALLY been my go-to essential winter accessory. I looooove wearing my balaclava! <3
How would you describe your style? Do you have any style inspirations that you return to?
LAYER LAYER LAYERS, BB! I love wearing layers and earth-tone clothing. These past couple of years, I’ve embraced a minimal, effortless, and casual style-loose-fitting, monotone organic fabrics, carefree yet carefully put together. Think Zoë Kravitz, Mary-Kate, and Ashley Olsen.
I love wearing two braids and my chunky rings, so most of the time, I envision my day-to-day look around how it complements these two things.

What trend are you currently loving, or what trend would you like to see?
I love the trend of being conscious-slow fashion, buying secondhand clothes, and wearing natural fabrics! PASS ON THE WORD!
Favorite song to play when getting dressed?
Since the new year started, I have not failed to start the day with Goapele – Closer.
