It's been 2 years since I started writing the monthly newsletter. I am not sure if my writing is getting any better, but I sure hope you are enjoying my random collection of essays involving chiggers, fashion regrets, triumphs, and many, many wormholes.
Dressing for the heat is not a superpower I have mastered. Like many of you, I have been waking up hot and going to bed hot. It's been a sweaty summer. When I am not spread-eagle laying directly under my AC unit, I am staring, confounded, in front of my closet deciding what to wear. This feeling is magnified when you're hosting an event on what feels like the surface of the sun.
This brings me to last weekend at our (amazingly gorgeous, dreamy) dinner and market we put on last Saturday at Homecoming in Spring Green, Wisconsin. The sun was blazing, but that didn't stop anyone from looking good and showing up with some serious drip (and not the sweaty kind).
The masses gathered, shopped, and ate, all while looking their best. Although I wish I had a GoPro attached to my head to capture every single cute fit, I did manage to catch a few of our faves to share with you. I usually wear a dress in these situations, but switched it out for a white poplin shirt, Wray cotton pants, and MNZ heels. I took notes from the crowd for future toasty predicaments and an accordion fan might be in my future.
As always, thank you for reading and sharing these moments with me. Here's to more adventures, more stylish solutions, and hopefully, a little less sweat. Stay cool, stay weird, and may your AC units be ever in your favor. See you next month!
Thanks for being here,
xxxKate
