Ya’ll seemed really interested in my skincare routine so I thought I would dedicate this intro to what we all have in common: A Face.
Living in Northern Minnesota we need more than a moisturizer in the winter. We need BALMS. A friend recently introduced me to Monastery’s Attar Balm and after trying hers over a weekend in the woods of Wisconsin (where all moisturizers should get tested for true potency IMO), I was sold and ordered my own. I now layer it over my other favorite product, the Dieux Deliverance Serum (yes, I use and love their reusable eye mask too!).
For body, I love a good oil and am currently on my 4th bottle of Bel Corpo Body Oil from beloved brand Olio-E-Osso. Finally, as someone who has a bad habit of buying an excessive amount of chapsticks I found my ride or die in Aquaphor’s Lip Repair Balm (NOT stick) which they sell in 2-packs at Target. This is the only lip treatment that keeps my lips moisturized for hours and I swear that has translated to more fuller looking lips. As someone who has barely a top lip this says a lot.
After inquiring in last month’s newsletter for hot tips; reader Rachel Linkhart reached out and sent us her favorite skincare line:
I cannot recommend Kari Gran skincare highly enough. It's INCREDIBLE! Women-owned, small batch, formulated for women over 40 (but I'm mid-30s and love it), and smells so good. And my skin has truly never looked or felt better.
Thanks for the rec, Rachel! Have something you’re dying to share with the community? Send it over! We love discovering new designers, music, films, and anything else you think this amazing community might dig.
Below we have some exciting community news: a filter update, our first magazine ad, interview with said magazine, and the accessory that motivated me to dig out my crocs (again).
Thanks for being here.
Love,
Kate
